Year '09

This is my first time ever blogging, so please excuse me if I suck at it, i'll try to get better. Poker for '09 i guess was above average, I started off the year winning a live $150 buy in for about 2500 i think. Didn't really even start playing much and with a bankroll till July online. It looks like I ended up cashing out around 30k not including rakeback, almost all of that came from July on. Kind of disappointing really since a majority of that actually came from July-October. I currently only play on Pokerstars. Soon im going to swap some PS money for Full tilt money, and will play only MTTs there. I am Currently riding out a sick bad 2 month run in MTTs. Heads up sit n gos were bad for a while too, but they got much better. It's poker though and it happens, just have to ride it out. I don't want to set out $$ goals, because i think they kind of hurt profiting players. If they fall behind at any time during their goal, i think it becomes a distraction and in the back of their mind they keep thinking "I need to get this goal", instead of focusing on making as steady of a profit as possible. This isn't a "goal" for me, but i think a profit of 50K(online only) not including rake back for me is not out of reach at all, considering I play MTTs. Also, with Pokerstars' new VIP system, I think I could earn 300k VPPs on the year, which after doing the math would result in roughly $21k in rake back, which is pretty sick if you ask me. $$ goals aren't the only type of possible goals in poker, but as of right now I cannot think of any, when I think of some I'll post them. The WSOP schedule came out, and I was pretty excited to see they have a $1k freezeout the day I turn 21. BOOM. Hopefully I end up playing in that. I also plan on playing as many satellites as possible to win a Main Event Seat. I should really be talking about going to Bahamas to play in PCA (Pokerstars Carribean Adventure for people who don't follow poker). I'm leaving on Sunday early in the AM, and going for 10 days. I'm currently registered in the $1k freezeout on the 8th, the $1K Live Heads up on the 10th, and the $650 bounty on the 11th. Will be playing in more, but those are the ones that I've bought into so far. I'm going down with 2 of my buddies, and 3 girls, the 3 girls are only staying the first 5 days, So we're not going to be doing much gambling the first 5 days we are there as opposed to the last 5 days we are there. Alright I think that's more then enough for my first post. I'll try to update every day that I play in the Bahamas to let you know how I do, and I'll probably update this once more the night before I leave.
